Event Recap: Birmingham's Success and the Path Forward

Monday 12th February marked a standout moment for Transform, with our first in-person recruitment fair in Birmingham, UK, laying the groundwork for an exciting series of global events aimed at connecting educators with unparalleled teaching opportunities in the Middle East and beyond.

We welcomed representatives from eight schools spanning five countries, alongside 133 UK-based teachers who participated in 140 interviews. Impressively, more than half of these educators were offered positions on the spot, and our team here at Transform is now assisting the remaining candidates in securing roles by year’s end.

Our founder, Marc Ashford, opened the event with a message that resonated deeply with attendees. He highlighted the occasion as more than a mere job fair; it was an invitation to build lasting connections and foster a supportive community among educators embarking on international teaching careers.

The event also served as a showcase for schools to present their unique offerings, encouraging candidates to consider a wider range of destinations for their teaching journeys. Among the schools participating were:

  • Kuwait English School, Kuwait
  • Capital School, Bahrain
  • British International School Riyadh (BISR), Saudi Arabia
  • Doha British School, Belgravia, Qatar
  • Bloom Education, Ghaf, Fairgreen, UAE

The enthusiasm generated by this event has propelled us into planning our next venture: a two-day forum in London on April 13th. This upcoming event promises to be a pivotal moment for educators seeking to expand their horizons and impact through international teaching roles.
